Chatfield State Park Implements Douglas County Stage II Fire Ban | Environment

LITTLETON, Colo. – Chatfield State Park has implemented Douglas County’s Stage II fire ban due to the continuing high fire danger conditions. The Douglas County Stage II fire ban prohibits any open burning, including campfires, warming fires, charcoal grill fires, fireworks and any other type of open flame. Smoking is also prohibited, except in an enclosed vehicle or building. Fires contained within liquid or gas fueled stoves are permitted. The ban will stay in effect until further notice.
