2 boys rescued after getting stuck in sewer
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — Two children became stuck in a sewer in a construction zone near Alameda and C-470 in Jefferson County Friday afternoon.
Reports from the scene said the 12-year-old boys called 911 and it took firefighters a little time to find them. Dispatchers were able to zero in on their location from a hit off of a cell phone tower.
Rescuers say the boys had gone about six blocks after entering the sewer.
West Metro firefighters opened a grate and lowered a ladder into the sewer to bring them out.
Paramedics took a look at them at the scene. They appeared to be okay.
