Tattered Cover could open at DIA

Denver International Airport (DIA) brought a new concessions contract before Denver City Council’s Business, Workforce and Sustainability Committee Wednesday that will bring Denver’s famed Tattered Cover Book Store brand to the facility.

The U.S. Forest Service is warning Christmas tree cutters to be careful in national forests this holiday season because of high winds and the possibility of falling trees.

Forest managers say they may close some tree-cutting areas if conditions become too dangerous.

LITTLETON, Colo. – Chatfield State Park’s swim beach reopened for swimming on Thursday, Aug. 4. The swim beach will be open seven days a week, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., through Labor Day. All vehicles entering the park must have a parks pass, but there is no additional charge to use the swim beach.
