Online resource helps Lakewood businesses navigate food safety and regulatory issues

A new website has been developed to familiarize Colorado food producers and food product manufacturers with federal, state and local food licensing regulations and to help ensure that the path food travels from farm to fork is safe. The website, www.cofarmtomarket.com, is for farmers’ market vendors, farmers’ market managers, ag producers, food product manufacturers and others targeting direct markets such farm to school, restaurants, retail stores, and institutions.

WHAT:             Free coffee is back! Once again, McDonald’s will be giving away free coffee for two weeks! They are confident that when consumers try their tasty, high quality coffee, they’ll love it! Customers can pick up a FREE Small Premium Roast Coffee from Monday, February 20 – Sunday, March 4th in the drive thru or inside the restaurant at any participating McDonald’s in Denver and the Front Range.

On July 30th, 2011, Earl's Restaurant in Park Meadows will be closing for a major remodeling and renovation project. They are currently selling off just about everything in the building including tables, chairs, art, equipment, furnishings, and fixtures to make way for this project. This auction is open to the public and is already underway on-line.

Douglas County liquor compliance checks conducted at businesses

The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) of the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office conducted liquor compliance checks in March, 2011 over Spring Break.

Of the sixty three businesses checked in the City of Castle Pines, the Town of Larkspur and unincorporated Douglas County, sixty one passed and two failed.

The two that failed were:  Western Convenience in Castle Rock and Las Fajita in the City of Castle Pines.

Park Meadows hosts 'A Taste of Lone Tree'

New Garbanzo restaurant to open in Lone Tree

DENVER, Colo. – Denver-based Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill, a fast-casual restaurant concept offering authentic Mediterranean cuisine, today announced the grand opening of its 10th Colorado location, which is in the Lincoln Commons retail district of Lone Tree. The new store opens Friday, July 16. It is located at 9996 Commons St., Ste. 310, Lone Tree, CO 80124 and is open daily from 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
